Gender equity in the workplace

The fourth component of the "Employment" activity relates to support for the promotion of gender equity in the workplace with a view to reducing gender-based discrimination in the workplace that causes women to leave their jobs prematurely and promoting the participation of women workers in sectors and enterprises directly or indirectly affected by Compact II. This consists in providing technical assistance to strengthen the capacities of institutions (Ministry of Labour and Vocational Integration, socio-professional organisations) in order to promote gender equity in the workplace (Professional Equality Trophy Initiative) and to assist companies that are potential candidates for this trophy by providing them with the expertise required to carry out gender audits.
