"Charaka" fund for vocational training

The first component of the "vocational training" activity concerns the establishment of the "Charaka" vocational training fund dedicated to the financing of (i) the creation or extension of vocational training centres managed within the framework of a public-private partnership(ii) the conversion of already existing public vocational training centres from a traditional public sector-led management model to a demand-driven private sector model managed in PPPs. This component is based on pilot experiences initiated by the Moroccan government within the framework of support for the various development strategies of promising sectors (industry, renewable energies, etc.).), through the creation of vocational training institutes with delegated management within the framework of a partnership between the public and private sectors and whose recommended governance model makes it possible to pass from a traditional mode of management based on supply to a mode driven by the demand of the private sector.
